Alive, well and happier than could be! Reporting to you live from Auckland.

>I was told that I look like Pippa Wetzell, a well known New Zealand television personality (aka news anchore), so here's the report!

(If you've looked her up by now, you might not know why I look like her... it's because I have a new hair cut) I went short!!! I'm traveling so what the heck, might as well keep things easy! Growing up I was known for blonde hair that went down to my bum, so it's quite strange to have hair that can't fit into a pony! Pics to come! On with the news update now...

Lot's has happened around here in Aukland the past two days! If you're visiting, the Sky Tower is a must do on a beautiful summer day like today! 360 degree view, from two levels, I highly recommend it! You can see the whole city, the Pacific Ocean, the Tasmanian sea and about eight of the extinct volcanos that formed our land. Perfect to finish off a first day in New Zealand is nothing but delicious lamb chops, grass fed on the farm just miles away. Nothing beats heatin' up the barbie (bbq) on a summer night!

Also wonderful to do on a summer day is visit Piha beach on the West Coast- best when you bring along two polar bears!!! (Show photos) These two beauties you see photographed are world class, chamipion show pups, old english sheep dogs. You can see them in past dog shows and dulux paint commercials. Keep an eye out for these celebrities in the city this summer! I hear they might be going to Lake Taupo sometime soon...

Leaving behind Pippa and reflecting on my past two days... I have been in awe. The city here is the cleanest, most relaxed one I have ever experienced. There is an ocean breeze that I am found of, amazing culture, fantastic food and lots of active people working out in the parks. I've had lots of first- including being served my first legal glass of wine in a restaurant (A delicious buttery-oaky chardonnay. Wasn't even carded - woohoo!). I had the most decident meal with that wine, a meal I will never forget, and have already enjoyed some local fish.

I am spending time with my mom and some family friends who live here in New Zealand. Already catching onto the local jargin mate and talking more like a Brit- makes me happy :) I've never been fond of how Americans talk, it's quite whiny! If I end up speaking with a British accent I'd be a happy camper. Ohh man can I see myself living here! Possibly working on the boats... I saw a young man polishing a docked boat, and I've done my fair share of cleaning, working and sailing catamerans... I thought to myself, why not do that here?

Well that's it for now folks! I know it was a wee bit much, hope you didn't mind. More adventures to come!
